In Nikolaus Moser's work, colour is not a creative tool, but becomes the central pictorial element. It is impressions from nature that are translated into the relief-like paintings. Where representationalism is completely abandoned, light and colour play an even more important role in communicating the moment. Works by Moser can be found in numerous private and public collections, such as the MUMOK in Vienna, and have already been shown in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, among others.
