VALMET / FINLAND M.59 TARGET RIFLE FINNISH LION

SN 7306. 29" barrel Bolt Action single shot rifle / bench gun in .22 Long Rifle. Valmet M.59. Marked "MADE IN FINLAND" on left side of receiver, “VALMET / TOURULAN TEHDAS / JYVASKYLA” and Finish lion crest on the top of the receiver, and ".22 L" on Barrel. Import stamp on underside of the barrel. The stock is a thumbhole target stock with pistol grip and cheek piece cut for a right handed shooter. There is also a thumb rest on the right side of the stock if the shooter desires to not use the thumbhole. There are compression marks and handling marks which are mostly found on the left side of the stock. There are handling and compression marks around the pistol grip and thumb hole. There is wear to the lacquer in this area as well. There is an aluminum accessory rail on the belly of the for end with no damage as well as a steel plate with three drilled and tapped holes for the addition of other accessories. There is a light number marked on the underside of the forend just forward of the trigger guard. Safety selector lever and front sight post appear to have been removed. No rear sight. Scratches on the wood, bluing worn in several spots, approximately 90% intact; bore and action excellent, and fast trigger. Overall Very Good*
