VERY FINE AND RARE CARVED AND POLYCHROME PAINT-DECORATED WOOD MILLINERY TRADE BUST, CIRCA 1880

Depicting a lady of fashion wearing a feathered hat.
Height 37 ½ in. by Width 16 in. by Depth 16 ½ in.

Condition Report:
In very fine overall condition with much of the original paint apparently in tact and minor inpainting to the brim of the hat. Scattered paintr flaking throughout commensurate with age and use. The brim of the hat with V-shaped repair. Old break to bottom proper left lower most scroll missing.
