VERY FINE AND RARE PAIR OF FEDERAL INLAID AND FIGURED MAHOGANY, BIRCHWOOD AND ROSEWOOD GAMES TABLE, ATTRIBUTED TO THOMAS AND OR JOHN SEYMOUR, BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, CIRCA 1795

VERY FINE AND RARE PAIR OF FEDERAL INLAID AND FIGURED MAHOGANY, BIRCHWOOD AND ROSEWOOD GAMES TABLE, ATTRIBUTED TO THOMAS AND OR JOHN SEYMOUR, BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, CIRCA 1795

appear to retain their original surface.

Height 29 in. by Width 34 ¼ in. by Depth 17 ½ in.

Condition Report:
Both retaining an early, possibly original rich finish and with negligible inlay and veneer cracks commensurate with age and use. The first with no structural repairs or pieced parts detected. The top closed with a 3-inch scratch on proper left side and a 2-inch diameter varnish lift on the proper right back corner. The top open with a zig-zag 6-inch abrasion. The second with top slightly smiling and minor shallow scratches. The top open with a 4-inch pieced area on the bottom leaf running the width of the table.
