Autumn wood. . Oil on canvas . Cm 72,00 x 90,00. Provenancethe artist's gift to the friend Amedeo Fuga. For inheritance to the actual owner. In coeval frame. The painting was executed at the request of the friend Amede Fuga (1880-1959). The bond of friendship between Vittorio and Emilio unfolds over very long times. The two were in fact among the components of greater reference than in the factswas a cheerful cenacle sui generis” of young people who produced applied and applied figurative art, theatre andmusic in that proud and flourishing Autonomous City that was the Murano of the very first‘900.Testimony of the existence of this group is also in the catalogue Vittorio Zecchin 1878-1847, painting, glass, decorative arts,(marsilio, Venice 2002) that publishes and identifies a series of caricatures made by Vittorio to his friends. In Emilio Fuga’s house has long remained an additional set of caricatures of the same characters, this time as dry chalks (in color). From the family testimonies it appears that Emilio asked Vittorio to paint four canvases representing the seasons. Vittorio then performed the first,“Autumn” which is presented here. A son of Emilio reported that upon receiving the requested work, after a little 'silence, Emilio presented to Vittorio a’image, maybe a photo, explaining that this represented better - according to him - the Autumn…. Probably the artist did not take well the provocation of the friend and the story continues with the scene in which VittorioHe stands still, then turns around, and leaves without comment. The other canvases requested were never painted.. Frame present
