The rectangular case of waffle-textured pattern, centering a wide ribbed panel,
surmounted by a pair of rectangular pyramid rose gold panels topped by a bombé platinum band of 27 single-cut diamonds ap. .95 ct., the hinged rectangular rose gold thumbpiece opening to reveal a mirror, covered powder compartment with powder puff, two make-up compartments, a lipstick case and comb compartment with comb and a narrow compartment, possibly for matches, signed La Minaudière de Van Cleef & Arpels, nos. 44331 & 1825, circa 1940. 6 x 4 3/4 x 13/16 inches. With fitted black suede case signed Van Cleef & Arpels, Paris, London, New York, Palm Beach, Dallas.
