Large vase in ivory with base in wood that is made to look like a rock. Decorated in bas-relief with a geisha sitting and on the other side a geisha following a bat with a lantern In very good overall condition. With visible vein-like marks natural to ivory. The 2 inner plates could be replaced Signed on one side Japanese artefact from the Meiji Era (approx. 1890-1910) . The item was produced prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations on ivory trade. The item comes with a certificate of authenticity that will be sent to the buyer.
