Vase, Kabin 花瓶 (Flower vessel) - Stoneware - Asano Masaru 浅野勝 (1944) - Contemporary Mashiko'yaki stoneware vase with u-shapes on a red background. - Japan - Shōwa period (1926-1989)

Fantastic grey stoneware Mashiko’yaki 益子焼 vase with carved u-shapes all across the body, on a red substrate. All the u-shapes have a small white-glazed dot in the middle. The vase is cylindrical of shape, with a rounded base and a protruding rim. Seal and label at the bottom by the artist Asano Masaru 浅野勝 (1944) . Born in the Miyagi prefecture, and set up his kiln in Mashiko in 1973. Size: Height 34. 2 cm, Diameter 20. 1 cm. Including original signed and sealed wooden tomobako 供箱 (storage box) and two leaflets in Japanese with some of his accomplishments as an artist. In an excellent condition. Please look at the photos for a condition reference. When shipped we will add a certificate of authenticity.
