Very Fine and Large Cizhou Type Bowl - Earthenware - China - Song to Yuan Dynasty

Provenance: From an important and old private collection. This lot comes from the private collection of Mr. Juan Carlos Bahamonde who over a period of 20 years acquired his collection from various prestigious dealers. His degree in Archaeology from Manchester University, which is one of the best in the U. K. and passion for ancient history is reflected in this beautiful bowl. The Henan-type bowl with deep blue-black and russet glaze displaying beautiful striations flowing downward, the inside with three large russet splashes. Diameter: 18 cm.
