Condition Notes: These brooches were made to encase the locks of a loved one. The oval-shaped brooch shows braided brown hair under a central piece of glass crystal while the reverse of the swallow brooch also shows a glass-covered compartment containing coiled hair. The larger brooch tests as 10k gold-topped silver. It is accompanied by an antique box. The swallow brooch tests as silver, displaying tarnish commensurate with age.
