\Artist: Vincenzo Cabianca (Verona, 1827 – Roma, 1902)
Technique: Olio su cartone pressato montato su telaio\Signature: Hand signed\Dimensions: 32_40_6_cm
Vincenzo Cabianca (Verona, 1827 - Rome, 1902) , Tuscan landscape, oil on pressed cardboard mounted on a stretcher, size artwork only: 12 x 20. 4 cm, size with frame: 32 x 40 x 6 cm. With a beautiful antique carved and gilded wooden frame with plaster applications. Cabianca is one of the most sought after painters of the Italian nineteenth century, a leading artistic figure. His training, that led him from the Venetian school to the Tuscan Macchiaioli school and then to Paris, is of great interest. Born in Verona, he trained in Venice, where he came in contact with the great Venetian landscape painting, he then moved to Florence, where he adhered to the Macchiaioli painting alongside his greatest teachers, such as Telemaco Signorini, Giovanni Fattori, Silvestro Lega and Odoardo Borrani. In his many travels he also went to Paris, where he came into contact with the French painting of the time and with the great Italian painters who moved to the French capital, feeding on the international spirit and innovation of that city. Artwork in excellent condition. With a slight original patina due to aging, the colour adheres perfectly to the pictorial surface and there are no detachments. The craquelure is mild and only in some places, as can be seen from the diagnostic macro-photographs that we have included among the photos of the lot. The signature was checked under ultraviolet fluorescent light and it is absolutely consistent and authentic. With certificate of authenticity and lawful origin. The work will be shipped via express courier within 24/48 hours with insurance. Please note that in case of sale abroad, the item can be shipped only after obtaining the authorisation for export from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage (Certificate of free circulation of Fine Arts) . This usually takes about 20 days. At the moment, due to restrictions to contain the Covid 19 epidemic, waiting times may be longer. The costs for shipments abroad include the cost of documents for Fine Art export and any customs procedures.
