~ Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold Diamond & Iolite Ring UK Size M US Size 6.25 ~
A lovely, delicate ring this. The pale yellow gold band branches into numerous elegant stems upon which a bouquet of iolite flowers sits, their blooms above numerous, small, paired leaves that each sparkle with a tiny round-cut diamond.
The iolite has a very pale lilac colour which contrasts most softly with the gold claw settings. There are 4 flowers comprising of 5 stones, however (as indicated in the last picture) one iolite petal on the outer edge of the bouquet is missing.
There are 12 diamonds in total, they have good colour, and their tiny size makes it difficult to detect that their clarity, modestly graded, is actually mid-range.
The ring has no hallmarks, but successfully graded as 9ct gold in our scratch-test.
~ Dimensions ~
The band is size M on the UK chart. It is 6.25 on the US size chart.
The bouquet of stones is a little under an inch in length (2.2 cm) and rises half an inch up from the finger (1.2 cm).
~ Condition ~
Aside for the missing stone (which would not be noticed without close scrutiny) the ring is in excellent condition, showing no weakness or wear.
