Vintage Fashion: Fiona Clare, pale blue tailcoat and dress; Sherard of London,1960s couture beaded dress - Fiona Clare, designer to Queen Camilla, a pale blue tailcoat and dress, as worn by fashion stylist, Ceril Cambell, whilst presenting the fashion coverage for the BBC from Royal Ascot in 1999, the jacket with embroidered leaf design to the collar and sleeve cuffs, padded shoulders, three buttons to the front and slit at the back, with coordinating pale blue dress, both with 'Fiona Clare' label to inner back, no sizes marked, approx. size 10-12; Sherard, London, Original 1960s couture beaded dress with small train, layers of lace on silk, ice blue base, ivory and metal base work, 'Sherard London' label affixed to the inner left breast, no size marked, approx. size 12. (3) Provenance: The Collection of Ceril Campbell, celebrity stylist, TV Presenter, motivational speaker, life coach, author, and independent celebrant. Ceril Campbell grew up in Chelsea, London, and hung out with ‘the Chelsea crowd’, who at that time included Mick Jagger's brother Chris, Jane Birkin's brother and Marianne Faithfull, Patti Boyd, and others. On Saturdays, whilst still at school, she worked on the Kings Road in boutiques, such as Mr Freedom and Jean Machine, whilst studying fashion design. In the late 1970s Ceril was F.U.’s creative designer for the fashion chain’s flag ship stores in Bond Street and Knightsbridge.
