Vintage Gold Ring with Diamonds, Pearls and Citrine
20th century AD. A large gold ring, the hoop formed of openwork tendrils, expanding shoulders with inset pearls supporting a large oval domed bezel, the underside of the bezel engraved with an intricate design of flowers, leaves and tendrils, a large oval citrine to the centre surrounded by radiating leaves with inset diamonds, pairs of pearls in between; stamped with '18CT' for eighteen carat gold. 17.16 grams, 32.44mm overall, 17.90mm internal diameter (approximate size British N 1/2, USA 6 3/4, Europe 14.35, Japan 13) (1 1/4"). From an old Essex jewellery collection formed in the 1970s.
