Vintage Mid-century Russian Dagestan Drinking Horn Set
Vintage Russian natural bovine horn &Â silver alloy drinking horns from the province of Dagestan in the Caucasian region of the former USSR, circa 1950s. These drinking horns are traditionally filled with wine or vodka & often used for ceremonial purposes in many Caucasian cultures. Each natural bovine horn features an ornamental silver alloy cap to both ends which are hand-etched with a Slavic pattern, set with black onyx stones & attached with Etruscan style chains. Horns rest in a handmade 12 1/2" H X 7" WÂ wooden turned holder. Horns are 12" H X 2 1/2" - 3" D.
