MapleNorth Doll Evangeline of Acadia. Â She is designed and made in Canada. Maple North dolls reflect the traditional costumes of the many different types of people who founded Canada. The Acadians are descendants of approximately 100 French families who settled along the shores of the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia during the 17th century. Longfellow's epic poem "Evangeline," tells the romantic story of one girl's expulsion from Acadia. This doll is handcrafted in a limited edition of 3000. She is number 219. Included is a doll with stand, certificate of authenticity and box. The doll is in excellent condition with no known cracks or chips. Her garments have no known wear or tears.
