Vintage Southwestern Turquoise Brooch, signed M E.

Vintage Southwestern Turquoise Brooch, signed M.E. Tsosie, a Native American/Navajo artist. This is a round silver brooch with a turquoise raised stone that is sawtooth bezel set. It has a curved fan-like accent next to it. The rest of the brooch has hammered designs of circles and etched arches. It is 10.02 grams in weight and 1.5" across. It is signed M.E. Tsosie on the back. It has been tested and is sterling. Age is likely 1960's-1970's thought not sure - I am basing that on the pinback clasp. The pin is built in to the back and not a soldered on bar pin. This is a different design that other pins I have seen. It is in very good condition - it has typical tarnish that can be cleaned if desired. I do not remove that as many buyers prefer it as is.
