Vintg. Chinese Celadon JADE Bird Sculpture W Stand

A vintage sculpture made from celadon Jade that depicts a bird with closed wings sitting atop a branch coming from a tree stump. This piece is possibly antique, 20th century. The entire sculpture is comprised of celadon Jade which is light green in color with speckled and marbled earth tones throughout. A dragonfly rests atop a separate branch with flowers along it. The dragonfly and flowers are a rich brown with splashes of light green throughout. The piece has intricate details carved into all areas. The bird’s wing, tail feathers, and facial features are given life through the meticulous carvings. The tree stump has a well at the top, which can be used to store trinkets or keepsakes.
