Volkswagen - "Herbie" - 1969
This unusual VW Beetle is from 1969. At the time is was a very bare and inexpensive model referred to as the “Budget Beetle”. This is an original Dutch vehicle, it still has the original registration from 1969.
. Beautiful in white with some sporty stripes, it looks somewhat like the famous "Herbie" Beetle from the Walt Disney films.
. It has an original Dutch registration with a periodic vehicle inspection valid until 10/2020.
. The VW runs great, it always starts, even in the cold. It is inexpensive to drive due to its LPG installation and the fact that it’s exempt from road tax in the Netherlands. The engine runs nice and quiet and accelerates well, the clutch, gearbox, steering and brakes are excellent, it’s a real pleasure driving this Beetle.
. The chrome is old but neat, the paint is neat with minor signs of age, the bodywork is stunning, neat and free from rust. Even the well-known places such as the styles, doors and spare tyre compartment are completely intact and rust-free.
. A lot of money has recently been invested and the bodywork is in a very good and intact condition.
. The front seats have minor damage on the seating surface and the classic radio does come on but without any sound (the speaker might need to be connected properly) .
. The tyres are of a good brand and still excellent.
. A beautiful classic Beetle in good condition that drives great!
. A new battery was recently fitted.
