WATCH HUTCH WITH WHALEBONE AND WALRUS IVORY ADORNMENTS Mid-19th Century

Carved from walnut in the form of a tall-case clock. Arched bonnet with circular aperture for pocket watch. Waist section with an inlaid whalebone faux escutcheon and an arched panel simulating a pendulum door. Base section with single drawer with whalebone trim and diamond-shaped inlay. Whalebone trim along corners of clock case. Diamond-shaped whalebone and walrus ivory inlay on side panels. Turned whalebone feet. Height 11.5".

Condition: Two front finials possibly painted wood, not bone or ivory. Two rear finials missing. Drawer missing a piece of trim. Age cracks in wood.

This item will not be shipped internationally without a CITES permit. Obtaining CITES and any other necessary permits is the obligation of the buyer.
