WORLD MILITARY FIGURE BUST LOT OF 5
A heavy bronze bust statue of H.M. King Edward VII of the United Kingdom by Sydney March produced at the Elkington Foundry. Depicts the King in full ceremonial robes. Engraved to the rear “Sydney March, Elkington & Co, London 1901, Copyright”. A Parian bust of King George V of the United Kingdom in full ceremonial regalia, less crown. C. 1908. Inscribed at base “King George V”. A 1950’s original bronze bust of Chairman Mao Tse Tung, or Mao Zedong, Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party from 1949 to 1976. Approximately 8 inches high. Hollow cast bronze with attractive patina, inscribed on front base in Chinese. Bronze bust of WWII German soldier in helmet. A large, varnished oval bronze relief plaque depicting General Paul Von Hindenburg, signed by sculptor Max Jancke and dated 1924. Reverse bears paper label to “National Propaganda, Berlin W. 30 Rosenheimstr. 21.” Label also bears inscription “Portrait-Reliefs beruhmter deutscher Manner” or “Relief Portaits of Famous German Men”. Approximately 14 ½ x 11 ¼ inches. Weight 6 lbs.
