German WWII photo album containing 95 photographs assembled by a soldier from the Nachrichtenzug II./ Infanterie-Regiment 61. The album cover is embossed with a silver Wehrmacht eagle insignia and the unit name. The album begins ca. 1936 in Berlin with a couple portraits of the soldier, sights of Berlin, including the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, Olympic Stadium, Sanssouci in Potsdam, photos of marching soldiers, formation drills, in the field working with radio equipment, the unit after its transfer to Bavaria, interspersed with family photos. The front of the album contains printed photos of Hitler, Blomberg, von Fritsch, Raeder and Goring. 7.5 x 10.5 inches, stamped 'Bookbinder Hesse & Becker Leipzig' on the rear cover. Minor stains to the cover boards, foxing to introductory pages, photos are sharp with many visible details.
