Wakizashi - Tamahagane - Japanese shinogi-zukuri wakizashi in koshirae - Japan - Muromachi period (1333-1573)

Antique Japanese shinogi - zukuri wakizashi in koshirae. The blade was forged in the Muromachi period and signed 'Bishu. . . saku' (full name is illegible, unfortunately) . The blade has a good old polish and has some fine scratches and minor 'kizu', but is without rust, no cracks or chips, and the 'cutting edge' is sharp, 'gunome-choji' hamon, 'itame hada', 'ubu nakago' (not shortened) . Nagasa length: 44. 5 cm, 'motogasane': 6 mm, 'motohaba': 2. 8 cm Total length in koshirae: 73 cm The koshirae is in good condition (the saya and tsuka have signs of wear) , kogatana and the beautiful shakudo 'kodogu' (sword fittings) complete this wakizashi.
