Well-detailed Near Eastern terracotta bust of Astarte

A well-detailed Near Eastern terracotta bust of Astarte, c. 1500 - 1000 BC, originally part of a larger figure, with bird-like features, large circular eyes, and long braided hair with coif at the back of the head. The figure possesses a multistrand broad collar and the top of her hands are visible below the color. 2 1/2 x 1 7/8 in (6.4 x 4.8 cm). Light mineral deposits. Ex UK private collection.
