Western Asiatic Cylinder Seal
3rd-2nd millennium BC. A carved pink limestone cylinder seal with two flat rims pierced through the centre receiving a copper-alloy suspension bar and loop; featuring a stylised tree(?) flanked by standing male figures and rearing animals in a combat scene, a simple line border at the top and bottom of the cylinder; in the sky: crescents and a star(?); accompanied by a museum-quality impression. 6 grams, 39mm (1 1/2").
