Western Han Dynasty Painted Standing Court Figure

Chinese, Han Dynasty. The painted pottery male figure with flowing robes, hands held together and hidden in the robe sleeves. The robe flowing onto the ground. Painted in red, brown and flesh colored pigments. Approx: h. 15" w. 6.25" d. 2.75". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Morton & Kathleen Sachs of Louisville, Kentucky, purchased from TK Asian Antiquities (Williamsburg, VA) in 2000 or 2001 for $1,045.
