Partly-printed vellum DS as president, signed “Wm. H. Taft,” one page, 15.25 x 19.25, June 8, 1911. President Taft appoints Lewis Foerster as a "Captain of Cavalry in the service of the United States." Signed at the conclusion by William H. Taft, and countersigned by Secretary of War Henry L. Stimson. The blue War Office seal remains affixed to lower left corner. In fine condition, with some scattered wrinkling.
