Condition Report:
The work has not been examined out of frame, but it appears to be oil on canvas laid down on panel. There is a horizontal split to the panel, visible to the reverse (and in the online illustration). There is an associated diagonal indent to the front, especially visible in raking light, from the upper left edge to the centre right edge. There is some surface abrasion to the left centre edge with some resultant specks of paint loss. There are some further small losses to the centre right edge and above the white duck, and a surface scratch visible to the neck of the white duck. The surface is dirty. Examination under UV light reveals no apparent retouching or restoration
