Single page typed letter signed on Supreme Court letterhead, 8" x 10.5". Dated "May 5, 1927", and signed by William Howard Taft as "Wm H. Taft". Near fine with slight creasing and expected folds. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope which was torn open to the right side. This piece is from the famous Supreme Court collection of Scott Petersen.
A wonderful letter with Taft replying to a letter "Your son tells me that you heard over the radio the speeches at the Yale Alumni dinners all over the country, and that you were able to hear me clearly and approved what I said. I am very glad that at the age of eighty-five you are able to enjoy current affairs and be interested in them …"
