Rare history of Santa Cruz county; with lithograph views of homes, farms, businesses, etc. There is a double-page color lithograph of "The California Powder Works, Santa Cruz, Cal." by Strobridge & Co. Lith., Cincinnati, O., evidently specially ordered from the east for inclusion in the work. This copy lacking title page and prelims, a single-page map and half of the double-page map, with other wear as delineated below, not collated, sold as is.
Condition Report: Wear to covers especially at corners; soling within, including to Powder Works litho, many text pages and some plates torn, some text leave missing portions; fair to good, but with a good number of significant views in quite nice condition.
