XL French Empire pendulum with a large Greek god - PONS gillion - Bronze (gilt/silvered/patinated/cold painted) - 1780-1800

Beautiful, large XL French bronze mantel clock with a depiction of a large Greek god with a woman; it looks wonderful! Completely cleaned by a clockmaker. All bronze parts are made of several pieces; the movement runs and strikes nicely on time and features a outer chapter ring with a snake and second hand. Please view the photos, and make your own assessment. The mantel clock has a weight of over 15 kg. The movement strikes a bell at the hours, with original rope pendulum, and key [Measurements] Height: 59 cm Width: 37 cm.
