Y A George IV oval copper samovar
Y A George IV oval copper samovar, circa 1825, with ivory insulators to the raised handles, 39cm high
Condition Report:
This is sold as a decorative object only, Dreweatts do not recommend its use as a tea urn
The lid fits well but does not recede into the top (sits on top), there is a little misshaping here, as to be expected - the band that would have receded is lodged in the top and detached from the lid - this would require re-soldering if wished.
The metal areas with discolouration overall, some pitting
The interior dirty and with signs of previous use
The ivory areas with old splits and discolouration
