Y A WILLIAM AND MARY KINGWOOD, TULIPWOOD AND OYSTER VENEERED CABINET ON STANDCIRCA 1690The doors opening to an arrangement of drawers around a central cupboard door, itself opening to four further drawers155cm high, 104cm wide, 54cm deepProvenance: Bearing a retail label for Norman Adams Ltd; and also contains a receipt from Quinneys Antiques, Chester, 1964, £1,025.Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Various old chips, splits and some losses. Some old veneer and moulding repairs (see images). Timber has an old varnished surface. The varnish with the expected wear, losses and some variation in colour. A section of moulding lacking to one side of the cornice and to the moulding between the two sections. Both sections of detached mouldings are present. Metalware replaced but suits the piece well and are in period taste. Three keys present and operate all locks. Backboards are likely old replacements but have some age. Some evidence of old worm. Legs and stretchers appear to be very well matched old replacements.
