This lot is thought to have been commissioned for one of the films to which Chang is known to have contributed including Ingrid Bergman vehicle, The Inn of the Sixth Happiness (1958) and The World of Suzy Wong (1960). Important for their scale and experimental approach, the works' seals have been hand painted rather than painted.
