cup and saucer - Blue and white - Porcelain - China - late Kangxi era and early Yongzheng era

Circular saucers in porcelain, blue decorations representing two characters in a landscape. End of the KANGXI era - beginning of the YONGZHENG era, circa 1722-1725 Lot from the Ca Mau shipwreck of a Chinese junk in 1725, probably en route from Canton to the Dutch trading harbour of Batavia (now Jakarta) . The wreckage was discovered by fishermen working on the Ca Mau Peninsula when their nets got caught in it. The vast majority of the pieces bear the label of the sale of Sotheby's Amsterdam on 29, 30 and 31 January 2007 and an inscription bearing a reference number registered by the Vietnamese curators. As you can see from the photos of each batch, certain pieces present marine concretions due to their long immersion in the sea. Diameter of the saucer: 11. 30 cm Sold without the stand The seller guarantees that he is entitled to sell/export this lot. The seller will take care that any necessary permits, like an export license, will be arranged. The seller will inform the buyer about the status of it if this takes more than a few days.
