padlock - Renaissance - Iron (wrought) - Second half 16th century

A rare wrought iron padlock with its original key. The barrel-shaped, cylindrical body is wrapped in two iron bands adorned with punched and incised decoration with a scroll ended shackle and a vertical key slot. The lock can be opened by pushing the key inside the cylinder. In full working order ! Swedish. 2nd half of 16th century.
