Contents of set: Harry Lorrequer, 1839 1 volume; Jack Hinton, 1843 1 volume; Tom Burke of "Ours", 1844 2 volumes; Charles O'Malley, 1844 2 volumes; The O'Donoghue, 1845 1 volume; St. Patrick's Eve, 1845 1 volume, Davenport Dunn, 1849 1 volume; The Daltons, 1852 2 volumes; Sir Jasper Carew, 1855 1 volume; Lutrell of Arran, 1865 1 volume; That Boy of Northcott's, 1869 1 volume; Lord Kilgobbin, 1872 3 volumes. All first editions with half-titles present. 17 volumes, 1839-72. Various sizes (8vo. & 12mo.). Beautifully illustrated by "Phiz" (Hablot K. Browne); with the exception of "Norcott's": illustrated by Mary Ellen Edwards & "Kilgobbin" by Luke Fildes). Uniformly bound in full golden brown crushed levant, ruled in gilt, with a shamrock design in gilt at the corners and in the compartments, t.e.g.; by Zaehnsdorf (signed), and bearing their device which denotes "exhibition quality" on the rear paste down above the tail dentelle of each volume. A beautiful set in superb condition.
