Modern Art + Design at Bukowskis, Sweden

The Modern Art + Design auction at Bukowskis, Sweden, includes several exciting collections including an early neoplastic work by Erik Olson, "Fiskarna vid Seine", 1928 and a significant painting from 1920 by GAN, "Eiffeltornet", made in Paris.

Not to miss is a selection of Danish surrealists including Vilhelm Bjerke-Petersen, Wilhelm Freddie and Elsa Thoresen, rarely seen at auction.

Included in the auction is an early work of Lucio Fontana dated 1961 and entitled "Concetto Spaziale". Further, the sale offers an unusually early work by the French neo-realist Bernard Buffet "Le poissonnier", 1949, an abstract work by the Frenchman Nicolas de Staël, "Composition", 1946 and a significant work by Danish modernist Vilhelm Lundström , "Stående modell".

The Design lots includes significant classics from star architects such as Finn Juhl, Josef Frank, Axel Einar Hjorth, Gio Ponti, Alvar Aalto and Gunnar Asplund, as well as craftsmanship from Simon Gate, Axel Salto, Pablo Picasso, Berndt Friberg and Eva Hild and more.
