1. Father's WW1 BWM, Victory Medal, Territorial Force War Medal, Silver war Badge No 465173, WW2 Defence Medal and KGVI Special Constabulary Long Service Medal to 240176 Pte P. Redcar Norf R. (1952 on TFWM, Defence un-named, Philip Redcar on Constabulary) very fine to extremely fine. With copied census, MIC, 1939 Register and SWB roll, he enlisted 28/5/13, discharged from Labour Corps due to sickness 10/4/19. On the 1939 Register his occupation is LNER Signalman and additionally noted as Special Constable, Norfolk Constabulary, living in Thetford with his family including son Aubrey aged 23, an Apprentice Motor Mechanic.
2. Son's WW2 1939-1945, Atlantic (France and Germany bar), Burma Stars, Defence Medal and BWM with MID oakleaf attributed to C/MX.98284 Leading Motor Mechanic Aubrey Redcar, extremely fine. His MID was announced in the London Gazette dated 1st January 1945. Dealer's notes state he served for some of the war on MGB 327 as part of 12th MGB Flotilla in Yarmouth. (R)
