(10) Lineol Italian Colonial Askari & Officer Figures

Ten Lineol Italian Colonial Askari and officer figures depict an Italian colonial unit alongside European commanding officers from the mid-1930s and the Italo-Abyssinian War period. The Askari soldiers are finished in matching off-white tropical uniforms accented with bright red waist sashes and rigid red colonial fezzes, or tarboushes, with blue hanging tassels. They are accompanied by two European officers in coordinating off-white service uniforms, tall brown riding boots, and white tropical pith helmets. The mounted riders are removable from their horses. Normal light wear from age and handling is present. The brown horse measures approximately 8.5 cm L and has a couple of cracks, including a crack at the leg. One figure has cracks at the ankles. The soldiers measure approximately 7.5 cm H from the base to the top of the head. The lot is in very good overall condition.
