• Volker Stelzmann belongs to the second generation of artists from the Leipzig School.
• With his realistic, somber-seeming street scenes, he captures urban life without compromise.
• His painting combines elements of realism with an objectivity inspired by Otto Dix, as well as Florentine Mannerism.
