LOT 82651155  |  Catalogue: Automobilia

1:10 scale model and drawing. - Alfa Romeo - 33 STRADALE - 2023

[ translate ]

I propose this lot of two objects: 1- the 33 Stradale 1: 10 scale reproduction of the only car produced in blue (the rest of the details were printed in the color visible in the photos) and
2- reproduction of the original "Form Plan" drawing; both objects are in 1: 10 scale.

1 - The “33 STRADALE” is the rarest of the cars produced from 1967 to 1969, 12 of the 50 planned were assembled. Another 6 chassis were used for the Alfa Romeo Concept: Roadster, Coupé Prototipo, Cuneo, Carabo, Navajo, Iguana. It was the most expensive custom-built car, 9,750,000 lire. . . a Lamborghini cost 7,700,000 and a Ferrari cost 6,500,000.
The interior is hollow to represent the front compartment, passenger compartment and engine compartment separated by "solid" sections. Cross sections with 100 mm center distance as per the original drawing, coarse finish to simulate wood, without filling and painting as photo n. 6.
I intentionally wanted to re-propose part of the technique used by coachbuilders, for decorative use, to enhance light and dark and more.
A long intellectual and manual work in the belief of creating a model recognizable even by less expert observers.

2 - Copy on paper of the Alfa Romeo drawing “Piano di forma” scale 1: 10, printed in A1 format (84 cm x 59. 4 cm) , of the 33 Stradale from 1967 (original name 33 Coupe) .
Perfect printing conditions, there are slight misalignments of some lines as visible in photos n. 43 and 44.
With this design, the bodybuilders were the first to create a 1: 5 scale model for an aesthetic evaluation in three dimensions of the project created on paper.
The construction of the model took place by cutting the various sections in the plywood and assembling them using joints, the gaps were filled, it was plastered, painted and some details added, lights and wheels, etc. Subsequently, we proceeded with any aesthetic modifications and finally built a 1: 1 scale model used by the panel beaters to give shape to the aluminum sheets.

The drawing is supplied rolled, to avoid otherwise visible creases if you want to frame it.

Weight of the model 390 g. , there is no original packaging, insured shipping in a double cardboard box and other internal protections.
Thanks and best regards.
