12 Chinese Famille Rose Cups and Bowls, 19-20th Century

A group of twelve Chinese famille rose cups and bowls dating from the 19th or early 20th century. The group includes: a pair of small cups with flowers and birds; a pair of floral cups with an inscription, one seal, and a 6-character mark; a set of three pink-ground cups with lotuses, vine tracery, and happiness characters with 6-character marks; a famille rose cup with molded and glazed flowers; and a set of four landscape bowls with an inscription and a 6-character mark.

Dimensions are: one of the bowls measures 2 3/8 inches tall X 4 5/8 inches wide, 6 cm X 11.7 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: 8 are in overall good condition. One of the small cups with flowers and birds has a very small hairline to the bottom. One of the floral cups has several chips to the rim. Two bowls have chips to the rim. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is. Provenance: From the private, premier collection of a gentleman in Cleveland, Ohio. The items in the collection were acquired starting in the 1970s from auction houses including Christie's, Sotheby's, and Bonhams, as well as from various private collections in the United States.
