127 4 doors 1969
Design colour drawing by Centro Stile Fiat. Mixed media on cardboard. 3/4 rear view. Frame sizes:
25.00 x 32.87 in.
The Fiat 127 was put on sale on March 20, 1971, as heir to the Fiat 850. It was a truly epochal turning point in terms of design not only compared to the previous car, but also comparing to products of a similar segment by other firms. The style of the exterior is the work of Pio Manzù, son of the sculptor Giacomo. The 4-door version shown here will have to wait almost 5 years to be available on the Italian market. Errata corrige: Lot in process to be declared of Italian cultural heritage
