The first series of the Fiat 128 was launched on the market in April 1969. The first Fiat branded car with front wheel drive, after years of experimentation and testing of solutions on the Autobianchi Primula models. It was designed by Dante Giacosa and was considered an avant-garde car. The line follows the stylistic dictates in vogue at the time, already adopted by Fiat for the previous models 124 and 125.
Errata corrige: In the the printed catalogoue wrongly described as including a large sketch of the dashboard.
