137th NY Grouping- Gettysburg

Framed grouping relating to Private George Hakes of the 137th New York, a regiment famous for its actions at the Battle of Gettysburg. While Hakes wasn't present at Gettysburg, Colonel Eldredge and General Greene (shown in the rare celluloid portrait reunion badges) certainly were, and played pivotal roles during the battle.

Grouping includes Hakes' discharge, two rare celluloid reunion badges, NY state button, various insignia, GAR medal, and four small American flags.
