(lot of 14) Daguerreotypes and Ambrotypes, in image sizes from 1/9 plate (2" x 2-1/2") to 1/4 plate (3-1/4" x 4-1/4"), the largest case displaying a portrait of a girl child on paper over a cabinet photo of a woman with the backmark of "Duryea, 253 Fulton St., Brooklyn, NY" and the case paper marked with three patent dates, the last being "S. Peck's Patent, Feb. 5, 1856," (1) image with paper back marked "M.J. Higgins, Ambrotype...., Washington St., Boston," and a pencil date of July 6, 1861; (1) the image of a young man in unidentifiable uniform; 3.75lbs total Start Price: $80.00
