14 Native American Pottery Fragments w/ Frame

Native American, Oklahoma, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Arizona, Alabama, ca. 11th to 17th centuries CE. A wonderful ensemble of 14 pottery fragments from Native American cultures throughout North America. Displaying hues of russet, grey, light orange, salmon pink, cream, beige and black, these lovely examples have been decorated with a variety of styles, including complicated stamped, cord-marked, painted, and various types of incised, such as Carrabelle Incised, Moundville Incised, and others. Size of largest: 1.75" W x 2.25" H (4.4 cm x 5.7 cm); Size of frame: 9" W x 13" H (22.9 cm x 33 cm)

Provenance: private Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA collection; ex-Charles (Charlie) Meyer collection, noted collector and famed illustrator for Greg Perino, famed authenticator and writer
