14 kt French Jet Black Mourning Bracelet Pair

Original and fantastically rare.
Circa 1840's to 1850's.
Gorgeous pair of 14 kt gold bangles with black jet.
Bangles are 1/2" wide.
Internally each bracelet measures 2 1/4" by 1 3/4" diameter.
Each bangle has been acid tested for solid 14 kt gold.
Closures are invisibly set with two pressure points, when pressed they release the internal clasp.
Sold as a set and weight, 50.6 grams.
There are light scratches and some small chips as to be expected due to age, but nothing that dramatically takes away from this amazing pair.
