14 kt. Gold - Earrings - 0.50 ct Diamonds

[ translate ]

Pair of 14 kt gold earrings with 0. 50 ct diamonds, total weight 7. 3 g. Sicily, 19th century. Beautiful pair of antique earrings in 14 kt gold with rose cut natural and untreated diamonds weighing about 0. 40 ct, bright and top quality. The circular motif design is refined, with a central star design embellished with a diamond in the centre and 6 accent ones for a total of 0. 40 ct. They are authentic and antique, not a reproduction and reflect the 18th century Sicilian Bourbon style, still very much in use until the end of the 19th century and the first Art Nouveau period. They are intact and perfect and quite large with no wear or flaws. Size: 2. 4 x 1. 8 cm. Although Bourbon jewellery does not have a high value as far as the materials are concerned, they feature very high-quality craftsmanship. In general, the gold content is never very high, but it is not always easy to define the gold purity of items of jewellery from the Bourbon period, as each goldsmith had their own personal 'recipe' for the gold. Nevertheless, these are very rare and highly precious items of jewellery which can be worn with pride. Because the gemstones are in their settings it isn't possible to ascertain the exact carat weight. The refined and stunning design of the piece adds to the total value. Shipped via courier with tracking.
